The other day I was cooking at home, when I ran out of flour while making a sauce. So I got my cell phone out and added it to our electronic groceries shopping list while attending to my meal on the stove. MrsM stopped by the local store on her way back from work and showed up a little later with a big smile on her face: “These are for you! – I figured one wasn’t enough….”. I was staring at a bunch of flowers – I never get flowers. – Ever.

What happened?

Autocorrect on my phone had corrected my request for ‘flor’ to ‘flower’ and my generous wife had thought that a single one wasn’t enough for me, so she made it ‘flowers’. Meanwhile the sauce had been modified to become cream based…

But nevertheless I got my first bunch of flowers ever – and we all had a good laugh when we figured out what had happened. Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you get.
