In Texas there are many ongoing road construction projects under way. It continues to amazae me how fast roads can be build here in the US, once construction starts. The machinery is all twice the size of the machines I’ve seen in Germany. With the continued population groth in Texas at >10% annually (mostly immigration from Mexico), the infrastructure is continously improved and built out. It feels like the buildling frenzy in East Germany 20 years ago, just not from taxes or stimulus packages, but driven by the growing population in Texas. The state population continues to grow from migration from the north, where many jobs where lost during the last recession and attracts businesses with its business friendly policies and low taxes.
