Feuerzangenbowle Rezept

  9. Gut umrühren und genießen.

Oktoberfest 2023 – Lori’s Ode to M.

Mr M.’s life is full of adventures and interesting tales,

It all started in Germany which is where he hails.

His love of cars and going fast started early.

Rumor has it at 4 he tried to steal the family car to impress a girly.

His childhood interests of car racetracks and learning to fly have stayed the same,

But does he need a real race car and his own personal plane!?

This blond-haired, blue-eyed boy lives up to his German roots,

Direct, rule loving, punctual, and eating everything with silverware is so cute.

Although M’s love of dance music and good bread was unexpected,

His love of German Sausage is where he and MrsM. really connected!

M. has always been a bit of a tech nerd,

So at 27, California was the place to be or so that’s what he heard.

The work was easy, but the nights were long,

Until a young lady on his team caught his eye and he felt it in his ding dong! (feelings were strong)

Mrs. M turned out to be a dog loving vegetarian who liked to eat off his plate,

While M. was a meat loving, don’t even look at my plate, cat person but they made it past the first date.

Although on paper this pair might not be a perfect match,

When M. moved to Austin, he realized MrsM. was an amazing catch.

The rest of this romance is no big mystery.

A marriage, a son, and mannnny dogs later the rest is history.

M. has had many haircuts and facial hair over the years,

He also likes wine and one to ….. nine beers.

We have shared many good times on vacation or just hanging out around the pool,

With Jason and M. entertaining us and acting the fool.

M. can be the life of the party and likes to have fun,

But once the clock strikes midnight he is done!

A couple of things I’m very surprised by,

He still gets the newspaper and has no social media accounts, what’s up with this guy?

For a man who likes speed and grew up driving on the autobahn,

He now mostly cruises around in his Tesla with the self-driving feature on!

These days you can find Marc flying his plane and spending time at his mountain place,

Enjoying his family and thinking about his next big car race.

But Marc in all seriousness from the day you came to Connor’s party way back when,

We have loved you and can’t imagine you not being our good friend!

Happy Birthday!
