• 1 and 1/3 cups (320ml) warm water (between 100-110°F, 38-43°C)
• 2 and 1/4 teaspoons Red Star Platinum instant yeast (1 standard packet)*
• 1 Tablespoon (13g) granulated sugar
• 2 Tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 3 and 1/2 cups (440g) all-purpose flour (spoon & leveled), plus more for hands and surface
• sprinkle of cornmeal for dusting the pan

While we’re all sheltering-in-place and Ro attending school online four days a week, we’ve decided to enrich his life with non-school learning opportunities.

So once per week I’m trying to teach or show him something that he hasn’t done before. On the list are such diverse activities as:

• planting trees
• digging trenches
• learn to solder
• bake a cake
• plan a security camera system
• train the puppy new tricks and basic behavior (hoping for it to spill into his own life :-P)
• ride a moped
• fly an RC airplan – and repair it
• doing woodwork

These have been very rewarding experiences for us.
