I got an awesome gift from MrsM, this macBook Air that I&#8217;m writing this blog post on. I&#8217;ve been craving this machine from the beginning on. It&#8217;s just so well designed. Industrial Design done right. With Steve Jobs gone now, I felt it was the right memorial token, since it&#8217;s truly the first apple device I&#8217;ve ever owned.<br \/>\nI knew about the awesome user interface from my wife&#8217;s devices, and also from the EFI-X clone computer that I&#8217;ve put together. But this is the first real Apple for me &#8211; since the Apple IIe days&#8230;.<br \/>\nThe second awesome birthday gift was our birthday dinner with my parents at the Carillon, on UT campus. This top notch fine dining restaurant was serving us a variety of different foods. Everyone had the three course menu, and I had the four course menu with wine pairings. We finished off with a nice Cognac, desert and Espresso. After four hours of eating I could barely walk.
