After three weeks of Wiener Schnitzel and Indian Food I had a strong craving for Sushi when I arrived back in the U.S.. So I went for lunch to a well known restaurant that serves Japanese and Chinese food on two different floors. We ordered the Lunch Sushi deluxe course in the Japanese restaurant. When looking over their menu I also felt a craving for Hot and Sour soup. Not quite sure which cuisine this soup is, I pragmatically asked our waitress if I could have Hot&Sour soup instead of their Miso soup. Big No-No mistake (Fettnaepfchen!). With ice cold face I was informed that Hot and Sour soup was Chinese cuisine. I thought so — hmmm. Udon soup will be just fine then. Ouch!
